Financial assistance is provided at the beginning of every school semester. On the afternoon of 28 March, 2010, a total of 357 students formally received scholarships with honor at Liugui Primary School from DDMSWCF.

The principle, Mr. Lung-Quan Huang, on behalf of all students responded with gratitude, thanking Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation and Quanta Culture and Education Foundation for all the support and compassion given in such a time of need. These acts of kindness and generosity have encouraged every flood-afflicted child to continue on in school for a brighter future.

Vice Secretary General of DDMSWCF, Venerable Chang Fa, said that DDMSWCF has accompanied Liugui’s victims in their sorrow and pain for a long period of time and will continue to do so without hesitation, just like family. Venerable Chang Fa also mentioned that she greatly enjoyed the show performed by the children at the ceremony.
