Chenjiaba’s local officials, celebrities and over 100 villagers also attended the morning ceremony to join the celebrations and to offer their warmest blessings and gratitude.

The Chenjiaba Medical Center was financially supported by Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation (DDMSWCF), after a deadly earthquake, which occurred in May 2008, in the hope of improving local sanitation and ensuring the health of Chenjiaba’s villagers.

In the afternoon, medical members of DDMSWCF from Taipei commenced their three-day medical services at the new center.
